Lily & Scott at Nichols Arboretum | Wedding Romance Photo Session in Michigan
Lily and Scott’s wedding was a very intimate gathering during Winter. They still wanted to have dreamy romantic photos done of just the two of them, so they scheduled a photoshoot with me! I’ve known Lily for years and was super excited to be able to capture these images for them. Lily and Scott are absolutely a dream couple and we had so much fun doing these photos at the Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Lily is a historical and fantasy costumer, and made their wedding outfits herself based on 18th century extant garments. Scott is wearing a version of the historical Scottish Great Kilt in the Black Watch tartan. Lily's gown is in an English style, made of blue silk taffeta with silk painted Morning Glory vines, a favorite flower of them both.
"For let amorous kisses dwell on our lips, begin and tell, a thousand and a hundred score, and hundred and a thousand more."
The detail and time she put into these outfits!!! Lily’s skill is absolutely incredible.
Scott and Lily met through the LARP they both play, when a mutual friend introduced them. Even their characters are courting! They have been together for three years, are best friends and confidants to each other, and tied the knot this past February.
